Initiated through the work of the University of Pretoria’s Housing and Urban Environment module led by Carin Combrinck; the co-design and co-construction of Slovo Hall was the first project undertaken by the founding members of 1to1, and gave birth to the idea of an alternative and grounded way of practicing spatial design.

Slovo Hall was designed to be 1 part of multi-phased development plan that could be built over an 8 week period by students at the University of Pretoria with and for the people of Slovo Park.
