In 2013 1to1 was approached by Mix Telematics to assist in the upgrading an orphan support facility in Ekhurhuleni run by Heartbeat: Centre for Community Development. The support centre provided after school facilities, counselling and a feeding scheme to over 100 orphaned children in the Vosloorus area.


After an in depth research and engagement process 1to1 teamed up with BOOM Architects to implement the incremental strategy that would see Heartbeat’s current facility bettered towards supporting the orphans of Vosloorus. The Vosloorus Heartbeat Orphan Support Centre was officially opened in March 2014.
